cat???????
im thinking about getting a cat, i already have one thats kinda pertective but hes fat and doenst like to move alot. if i keep his food and water and liter in my room away from my other cats (his is in the basement) do you think that this could work out? without them fighting all the time?

Try a gradual introduction of the new cat to all of your pre-existing cats. Allow some time for the new cat to adjust to his new surroundings before doing so. To be safe, only allow to cats to interact while supervised until you can be sure that they will behave while by themselves.
Keep in mind that it might take your cat several weeks or months to get used to having another cat around. Be prepared to jump into a catfight, too. You will also have to be prepared to do something should they be unable to get along. And remember, your older cat was there first.
