    you put it in a dog crate and they store it with the luggage. i think you do have to pay extra though…go to the airline that you are traveling withs wbsite and look it up.so if you were traveling on Southwest Airlines then go to or google it or something.

    Depending on the country you are planning on visiting, the dog may be quarantined upon arrival…for as long as 6 months in some places! You need to check with the authorities of the country or countries you plan to visit. Find out what proof of ownership papers you will need, what sort of veterinary certificate you will need, and how soon before you enter their country the dog will need to have been examined (for example, a vet certificate from last year would probably not be valid – but would one from 6 months ago be okay? Or do you need it within 6 weeks or less of arrival in their country?)

    Once you get all of that info, you need to contact the authorities in your own country and see what will be needed upon return, so the dog can re-enter the country. If another, more recent vet certificate is needed, be sure you can obtain one in a foreign country.

    Also make sure you have researched emergency vets in any and all areas you plan to have the dog.

    When you go to the vet make sure he gives you some tranquilizers.Dogs do get motion sickness and when their ears pop they don’t know whats going on see if you can put some of the things he likes or some treats on a blanket in the crate… Take him with you its better than kennel and him getting sick and kennel cough !!!!
